Yeh i wanted to see the condition of the drivers seat

I bet thats still on original injectors and high pressure pump

I think 200k is awesome for a auto box to last in a diesel, with all the torque and its sealed for life, bet it would have lasted longer with oil and filter changes

No, solenoids can fail, valve body wears over time putting more strain on an already weak torque converter. Poor fluid puts the most strain on the clutch packs, however the clutch packs aren't the issue in those GM boxes.

The only reason the box lasted that long was because it was probably sat in gear 5 for most of the time.

At 100,000 miles a gearbox should be serviced, in the service should be, oil, filter and valve body overhaul.

its chucked out most the big bills

next would be injectors reconning - average price £120 each at a injector specialist

then maybe the pump - no idea never had to get one fixed

295,000 miles! Wow! How long would it be before the car started chucking out bills of more than its price?

It's probably already done that but if you've got a decent car you like then why not keep paying them?

And remember, the owner paid £30,000 for this car and you don't realise it's residual value until the day you sell it..

Judging by what has already been done it is about due another turbo too, especially as the oil isn't being changed as regularly as it was.
