Tweaking windows vista icon settings ?

Can someone please tell me can you disable the box that appears around an icon on the desktop every time you move your mouse over one or select one, I can't find any option that allows you do disable it, is this even possible ?

no, move your mouse pointer over the top of an icon on the vista desktop, a box appears around the icon, a box also appears around the icon when you select an icon, in XP this does not happen and it's a small niggle that bugging me, can you disable it.
