Does anyone bother tweaking their windows install?

I find that Windows 7 runs beautifully anyway and given that I have an i7 @ 3800mhz and 12GB RAM - does disabling the odd service net to be done any more?

I'm not saying that I don't run Spybot/keep my machine relatively clean but I don't obsessively disable services/monitor usage like I did in XP.

I only tweak stuff for security. For example, I have iTunes installed but under no circumstances do I need Apple's Bonjour network protocol running. So I turn if off as it's not needed and can only cause a problem.

There's no need to disable services etc. for performance gains, especially with the hardware you have available. :)
