Twin display question

If I wanted to use 2 monitors could I have a dvd film playing on one while gaming on the other and if so, what sort of performance hit would the game take? Graphics card is an 8800GTS 512mb.

it should be possible but the sound will be a bit bad as there will be sound from the film and the game provided the game doesnt take up 2 screens. performance hit may depend on the game.

you could always plug your tv in to your pc as a 2nd monitor if its possible to see if it works

should be fine as long as u have the game rez set to the same as both screens and the same with the movie for example u would have to play everything at 1680x1050 as when you run to screens out the same card and try and play a game on one at full screen at a diffrent rez it tends to mess up whats displayed on the other screen unless its the same rez as the game.

or just play the game in a window lol

or just try and and see if it works but yer the sound will mess up

Thats not true, I have three screens and they are all different resolutions, it makes no difference whatsoever
