Twin electrical hookups on towbars, what side does what?

I've just got a second hand towbar sent to me for my 306. It has twin electrics on it which was unexpected and probably overkill for my needs.

One hookup has a black cover, the other a white. Is the black one the one that hooks into the brakes and indicators?

If so what is the white one for? I'm guessing reversing lights and rear fog light?

I only bought the towbar for use with a cycle carrier so I guess I can get away without wiring in the second plug, but I don't want to connect the wrong one up to my car as I have to solder it all into the existing wires.

Ah don't worry, a bit of research would seem to indicated the grey plug is purely to power caravan electrics. I might see about removing that then as I don't need it.
