TwinTech 9800GX2 Help..

Oks well.. Firstly doiks14 err I’m using the latest 190 drivers from nvidia site..

Mr Happy I cant test on vantage because I’m on windows 64.. that’s another argument. As a gamer/overclocker ive found vista and win 7 beta to be slower, games like GTA5 just refuses to allow me to play at the settings i can do on winxp 64 but as i said thats another argument lol dont want to get into a fight over vista being better or not better :) i will look for other benchmark programs and cross ref it with other GTX275 users.

BigBC i will PM you soon but first i want to do some tests.. im defo interested in your offer.

OK OK after a couple of days of testing i found out what the issue was..

It all started about a month and half ago, i came home turned on my PC and nothing happened.. Now this is were i failed and failed hard as a PC head.. i just assumed right off the bat it was my motherboard!

I replaced my Abit IP35-E with Gigabyte GA X48 DS5.. The mobo was ordered and arrived a few days later.. So i spent the afternoon rebuilding my PC only to find out when i turned it on it was giving me the same beeping noise i was getting before i swapped out the mobo.. At this point im like It cant be my GFX card.. But it was :eek: Owned!

Now i had this new mobo i was not going to send it back because i was liking it, the new mobo dident like my Q6600 G0 very much but it loved my E8400! so i kept that in it..

I sent off my GFX card for replacement got it back only to find out that my pc was posting uber low 3dmark 06 scores.. after trying everything from bios to driver to differnt revsion of 3dmark 06 i decided to put the GTX275 in my slave pc.. off the mark it scores 16k in 3d 06 :confused: were mine was posting 11k...

After more testing i realized my mobo was duff and how or why i dont know.. i couldn’t understand what was going on, i scoured bios for setting to do with the gfx card and what there was did nothing..

In the end i reinstalled my Abit IP35-E and reset my overclocks and bam 17.5k 3dmark 06..

Ok that was my story!

BigBC sorry m8 im not gonna sell/swap my card now as at last after months im at a stage i can be semi happy with my pc..

Let us know when u get your replacements guys im interested to hear you views on your cards!
