TwinX - does it matter?

Hi, I was wondering if the TwinX stuff from Corsair was worthwhile or if it's just marketing?
The reason I ask is because I ordered this stuff from OcUK, which is labeled as TwinX, but got two individually packaged 2Gb sticks sellotaped together which I'm pretty sure doesn't count. I'm pretty confident it would work fine anyway, I'm just wondering if it's worth going to the hassle of getting it replaced?

No it's not just marketing. We label our memory in this way to guarantee to the end user that the memory has been tested in a dual channel MOBO as suggested by MOBO makers. However, if your 2 modules are the same version, then you should have no issues. If you do, contact your retailer and let them know you did not get what you actually ordered.

Thanks for the response! The modules are the same so I'll go ahead and install them and hopefully nothing will go wrong (don't think I've had a corsair module fail on me yet anyway).

Thanks again for the help.
