Twistleton Scars

Sigh...another shed load of stunning photo's from Marzipanogram...

Getting a bit old now isn't it? ;):p:D

*On a serious note absolutely astonishing work again dude. Love them

Stunning picture and pictures on the link.

May I be rude and ask how you achieved the really nice warm light in the sky and kept the foreground in really natural colour without under/over exposing... if that makes sense?

Thank you kind Sir's :)

I used a Nikon D700, Nikon 24-70 lens, tripod and shutter release.
I took 4 exposures see below. The exposure compensation values are just guess work, no rocket surgery/science involved.

And blended them together in Ps, by first stacking them into layers, then painting on the layer mask to reveal the photo below.

I used "9808" for the area around the sun, because that was the darkest exposure. "9809" for the sky. Didn't use "9810" and used "9811" for everything else.

I don't use any filters apart from protection, I think a ND would have darken the tree top and the sky.

I generally enhanced the shot with Photoshop magic AKA Nik Software Plugins. Which I added some warmth.
