Twitch Streamers

Pretty much this. If I'm being honest, the only reason I actually watch any gameplay videos is if I'm stuck on some part of a game.
Yeah, I’ve watched a fair few tomb raider videos in my time. And what’s annoying, is when you watch it, it looks so obvious that you feel like a right donut

I watch retro streamers as that's good for discovering games, plus seeing how good they are at speedrunning these games is impressive. I also watch a lot of Chess, which is good to actually learn new things in the game depending on who you are watching and if they're coaching. YouTube has videos on this but with it being live, you're seeing something new.

I don't watch newer games or modern games, unless it isn't story based like Euro Truck Simulator, or a game I know I wouldn't play / buy, because it may be best played in a group, where I'm more of a solo gamer.

I’ve never seen the fascination in watching someone play a computer game.

Much rather just be playing it myself.

How is it any different to watching a sport on the TV?
Im with you in that I dont find streaming at all entertaining but I understand why some would.

In the same way that I find Golf and Cricket the same as watching paint dry but some love it.

i was going to make the point earlier that if anyone here has any siblings have watched them and found it fun just watching them play. twitch can be the same. my partner likes to watch me, house mates that same. personally i'd rather be playing than watching, but understand the interest from the viewers.
