Twitter accounts of Obama, Biden, Musk and others 'hacked' in apparent Bitcoin scam

I genuinely didn't think was a real story when I first saw it but it's now being reported by the Mainstream Media so I thought I'd post it here.

What a shocker for Twitter and what an eye-opener for those who read these accounts. Imagine the carnage this hack would cause if it had been used on the morning of the Election with both Biden and Obama "tweeting" some insane stuff, rather than the hackers "wasting" the opportunity with this obvious Bitcoin scam!

So far that Bitcoin wallet made around $112k - https://www.blockchain.com/btc/address/bc1qxy2kgdygjrsqtzq2n0yrf2493p83kkfjhx0wlh - considering the accounts they had access to that's a tiny amount but for some random individual that's a nice haul of "untraceable" currency I suppose.

I've always been amazed that any Government allows it's various departments and officials to have "Official" accounts on a non-government owned platform which is ripe for hacking. If this isn't the biggest "security" wake-up regarding the ability of external forces to potentially cause mayhem via Twitter then we deserve everything we get when something far worse than a simple BitCoin scam happens in the future.

It can be far far worse!

Imagine something like this - Biden tweets "Help!" Trump has started arresting Democrats in their homes, there is Secret Service all over the Capitol grabbing people, we need the Army to stop him NOW!" followed by Obama and various other Left Wing "verified" accounts like journalists etc all repeating confirmation of this saying it's true. It'd take days to sort out the actual truth of what happened, the stock market would plummet, the left wing would go mental and riot over what was really "nothing" and it would change the face of Social Media forever as Twitter and a host of others all being banned under National Security in a heartbeat etc.

It took over 2 hours o stop the "hack" and the only way to stop it was to block ALL verified users from posting. Can you imagine the damage to the US in those two hours if the "hackers" had decided to be bad rather than greedy.
