Twitterrific

Well i was testing the water to see if anyone used it first. Basically every time i open it up, it says i have about a billion unread tweets. Ill mark them all as read, then the same thing will happen next time i open it up. I cant seem to permanently mark them as read.

don't close it everytime.

its meant to run in the background and just grabs the latest 20 tweets from the api

I always close the main window and it works fine.. even quitting the application completely and reloading doesn't screw up the read messages.

I never close it, only when I restart, and it shows like 6 msgs using growl then says you have *** new tweets (from the beginning).

I find Twitterific to be a bit hit and miss at best. If someone can make Twinkle for an iPhone, why can't they make a good desktop client?

BTW, make sure you're following The-iBlog !

Searching for people for one, but the main thing that annoys me about it is the inability to drill down into conversations.. so if someone local to you, or on you follow list sends an @ to someone you can't drill down and see what the other person is saying.. it's kinda how you are meant to find new people to follow so it's a pretty big miss :)

Tried Hahlo? Info about it on the blog if not.

I don't much see the point of hahlo.. I can quite happily use the main Twitter site if I want to use Safari :) I like Twitterific and it's geolocation.. it's just missing a few bits to make it excellent.

Twinkle has the geolocation mate. Twitteriffic is a mac twitter client.
