two 02 questions

I have a k800i and am on my first ever contract paying £25 a month for 500 text and 150minutes

Questions:
1- How do i find out how many minutes/text i have left for the month, and how do i find out when the new month starts :o
2- My gf is currently abroad, if i text her does it just cost me a text or do i have to pay extra?

Your new month starts on the same day of the month as the day you took your contract out or near enough, I check my bill online (I've got an online contract), AFAIK all o2 customers can do that, someone correct me if I'm wrong :)

Yeah, just a normal text for you. You can't be expected to pay extra because you might not even know the person you're texting is out of the country.

I enquired about this with O2 CS before and they said that texting abroad takes 4 texts off my allowance.

It didn't cost me any extra to text my mum, or call. Receiving messages was free for her, but receiving calls extortionate.

but how are you ment to know they are out the country :p
 
Because she was on the foreign network, she was accepting that it costs to receive calls, but it didn't affect me.
 
there has been a lot about this in the media lately, offwatch (or wateer the mobile phones branch is) has jumped all over mobile companies for charging extra for the overseas service

  • Click View My Bill (top left)
  • Unbilled Calls (I usually get an "The Access Manager WebSEAL server cannot find the resource you have requested." error after clicking this, BTW - I just click Back and get then I get the normal menu)
  • Unbilled (left menu)
  • Unbilled Charges To Date
  • Inclusive Allowance Details.

You'll notice just after you click Unbilled (step d), you'll see your next billing date.
 
ahh my phone says it has sent 473 messages but the website says it has sent 487 grrr


if i go over the limit is it just 12p per txt then?
