Two 20" Monitors or one 24"

1 30" ;).

I can't imagine gaming on 2 monitors, maybe good for strategies or somethin but FPS or anything else will look just dumb on the stretched screen... but thats just my opinion, would prefer 1 bigger screen for gaming anytime.

2 screens for design/graphics and any other job that just needs large workplace.

just use your current monitor with a 24", im about to start using 3 monitors personally

17" TFT, 21"CRT and 24" LCD i think

Two screens is always better than one, especially for graphics and web design.

I use three monitors, 19" LCD - 22" LCD - 19" LCD comes in handy when I'm doing a project which requires lots of different programs to be used such as Word, Photoshop and Firefox.

2 monitors is alway nice when designing, especially if you want to preview or drag and drop from one app to another. I only use a single 24" now but still have a 2nd monitor ready if I'm going to do some heavy scripting/designing.

I thought hard about 2 monitors. I spent the whole of last summer using a dual screen setup for 3d design and two screens was invaluable. However, for day to day use it just would not have been practical, mainly due to desk space. I went for the 24", which also had the added advantage of being full HD. I use it quite a lot for coding etc, and although it could do with being a little bit wider, i dont find it a problem. Im sure if you used it combined with your current screen you would have a very good setup.

you dont game on 2 monitors,

you have the game on 1 monitor.

the second has (as i have it), Teamspeak, Xfire and a couple of gadgets open, like the Temperature or task manager etc...

so i can see who is talking, how everything is doing and what people are telling me....

however the G15 keyboard can tell me much of the info....

id recommend 2 monitors if you do work involving essays and excel and ms word, otherwise if you just game and dont do a lot of uni work then just get a 24inch (good one) and a good Graphics card, instead of 2 24 inch monitors which would set you back £600
