Two 27" monitors, Which one?

Hello everyone this is my first post on this website :cool:,Basically i'm looking for a 27" monitor primarily for use with the xbox 360.

Here are the two that i'm looking at:

ASUS VE278Q

iiyama ProLite E2773HDS-B1

Now i must add that i did own the 24" iiyama ProLite E2473HDS-B1 but got rid of it and decided to get a 27" samsung tv for better colour,but it turned out to have horrible ghosting so now i want a monitor again.

Which of these two monitors has the best colour and minimum light 'bleed' thats all i ask as i know the response times are quick enough.

The iiyama is 45 pound cheaper but i'm willing to spend the extra cash for even slightly stronger colour.

I will REALLY appreciate your opinions, Cheers!
 
xbox 360 will do 1080p at highest so the U2711 is a total waste.

Personally I'd go with what ever one offers better connectivity options

Sorry i dont understand the u2711 is a completely different monitor...and i did not mention it in my thread:confused:
 
oh ok,this is a great start! lol.

Seriously though i know a decent amount about monitors and have had a couple of iiyamas in the past but i dont ever see much about them on tech forums ect.

Does anyone here think that asus monitors have stronger colour than iiyama monitors in general?. i dont want to spend an extra 45 pound if its not needed.

Even if only one person on here who has good knowledge of monitors makes a suggestion it could sway it for me.

Please guys..
 
Really sorry but i have to bump this thread,im ready to pull the trigger on either one of the monitors I mentioned.as far as i'm aware the 27" ProLite E2773HDS-B1 is not out yet but it has the same specs as the 24" E2473HDS-B1 i used to have.

I know that they're both TN panels but can anyone clarify that the asus VE278Q has stronger colour than the iiyama E2473HDS? I dont know which is best and i cant find any information that compares the two.

Anyone?..i'm sick of taking gambles and having to waste money and time by posting things back :(

Appreciate your input but 27" is the largest screen i can handle for the layout of my room,Thats why i brought a 27" samsung previously + (it had audio return channel for my new onkyo sound system which allowed me to have everything via hdmi) but the samsung was a 50hz tv which is slow and bad for my eyes. so i would rather have my sound system hooked up via digital optical and have a monitor that can handle fast motion. (with as much colour as possible)


There is hardly any mention of iiyama monitors on forums,however the asus VE278Q has had some good comments after hardcore searching, it costs 45 quid more than the new 27" iiyama thats coming out but i just want to know if its worth spending the extra cash.

Even though i play the xbox 360 i do sit pretty close (roughly 2.0 meters max)

I assume most of you guys are using high end monitors (va/ips) So i would just like to know if asus is better than iiyama in general or if you could tell me which of the two i originally mentioned is best colour wise.

I dont want to annoy anyone so this will be my last post concerning advice on this situation.

I'm 90% there,anyone else know if the ASUS VE278Q has stronger colour/less light bleed than the iiyama ProLite E2473HDS-B1?
