Two Canyon Bikes Advice Please

Hi there

I am looking at getting a new MTB. Two prices ranges to pick from. The first is this

Based on the cost of each bike can somebody tell me if they are good value and any pros and cons, reflecting the price point for each bike.

I don't have anything to say as I know nowt about MTBs but that last one is a women's bike hence the WNM

I'm loathed to recommend them but, Halfords have a sale on the Boardman range atm.

The spec is miles better than either canyon, plus you can go sit on one to figure out the sizing.

Looking at the cheaper one, crap forks, a bizango is better at that price, canyons are not great value at that price, paying for the name more than anything.

I bought a Canyon Spectral AL 9.9 EX 2014 last week with a very cheeky offer made on a well known auction site. First ride out on it at Sherwood Pines the next day was amazing and it sticks to the trails like its on rails, very confidence inspiring!

I usually ride my Trek Superfly SL FS 9.8 which is fast and very light but I needed something with more travel and heavier for jumps and drops on the trails. With the confidence and travel of the Canyon I managed to smash my previous PB's by some mileage!

At 5'8" I would recommend the Medium size for riders between 5'6" and 5'10" max. It is a short reach bike compared and a complete geometry change to the XC oriented Superfly.
