Two EK blocks, which is better?

I bought a 2nd hand CPU and mobo combo from MM and paid a bit extra for the waterblock he was using however I have just found an old EK block which I had used in a previous water build which appears to fit the socket too.

So which one is better or are they equal? The copper/plexi would suit the system better looks wise. I also have two plexi/copper 7990 blocks. Is mixing nickel with copper a bad thing?

The 2nd block is similar to mine however I have the older version without the circles.

CPU will be an AMD FX 8 core 8320

The Supremacy is a far better block so the second one

However, if it is older and doesn't have the circles then I don't think it will be a supremacy
The non-CSQ version if that is far more recent

I haven't got the outer box so all i'm going off is the name on the block. I did search for it quickly before posting this thread but nothing came up. It says Supreme HF?

Edit turns out Supreme HF is the one before the current gen so still a good block?

Dont worry about mixing copper/brass/nickel. The vast majority of metals used in mainstream watercooling is absolutely fine to use together.

Good thank you

EK make good Blocks but l prefer mine all copper or copper with Acetal + Nickel top for CPU + GPU.

The way l look at it plexi top holds the heat in, don't know how many degree's differance it makes.

But at the end of the day its still a good block and will do the job in hand.:)

Dont worry about mixing copper/brass/nickel as most all premix coolants have this problem in hand.

If your using deionized water use something like Mayhem XT-1 Coolant its a 150ml - £6.98 concentrate. It makes upto 3ltr's adding 50ml per ltr of deionized water , so you can just mix a ltr at a time up..

Been using it for a good while with no problems.
