Been using a powerline adapter with my pc for a while now but I've just bought and xbox one and need to hook that up via ethernet too, is there anyway to have two ethernet from one adapter? Or what else is the best way to set this up?
You have 2 choices, either buy a small ethernet switch ( £7) or replace the powerline adapter with one with 2 ports (you can buy them singly for £20-40 though OCUK only seem to have pairs).
.....also the cheaper option of adding a switch adds another power adapter so might not be overall the best option.
OCUK do a dual powerline kit for £30. You can mix and match between vendors as they all adhere to the homeplug standard.
Yeah I've added a switch in and my speeds have dropped tremendously so much I can't even connect to games properly on my xbone and pages on my PC briefly buffer before loading. I've gone back to connect my Xbox wireless to my PC as this seems like my best option at the minute. Didn't fancy spending 30 on a new power line kit tbh. It's okay back to uni in a month then my internet issues will all be over.
