Two great graphics deals!

Kudos to OcUK not calling them 9600GSO's, since literally nothing has changed. The 8800GTS is just getting cheaper all the time and becomes more and more worth buying.

Ignore the 9800GTX naysayers - all who want to know about it have known for the last bazllion years; plainly nVidia ****** up. I don't think the term "broken record" even does *that* justice anymore :rolleyes:
 
Its funny calling the 98800GTS a 9800GTX because then it just gets everyone going and its just.. lol.

hey Loadsamoney, and also applies to everyone else here: if you ordered and paid for a 9800gtx and recieved a 8800gts 512, would you be happy and not bother to complain about recieving a 8800gts 512 in its place?
 
If i paid £199 for a 9800 GTX, but got an 8800 GTS 512mb costing £176, then id keep it being the same card, id just ask OcUK for the extra £23 back for sending me a cheaper version of the card i ordered.:)

I'm having trouble finding the 2nd sli connector, extra power connector, phases, clockspeed and HSLI support on the 8800 gts. Could you help out?

and what if ocuk kept your 23 quid and told you that they sent you the correct card its just got a different name on the box, and then also reference you to your own posts confirming this on this forum? ;)

hardly any reason for you to say they cheated you if you claim the cards are identical as you have been doing for the last month or so. :)

Mmm, triple SLI and extra power draw. two great "features".

i'm also fairly sure that there's this thing called overclocking. you might have heard of it?
 
I think people just mean its becoming *seriously* annoying to read the same thing over and over and over and over again.

We get that the 2 cards are pretty much the same thing, but its not funny any more.

Slightly more on topic however:

Those are some excellent deals... I am very tempted with the GTS512MB... if the new cards wasn't going to be out for another 4 months or so I would be buying one as I type, but I am restraining myself - barely :(
