Posted this in the graphics card forum but nobody seemed to know, so I thought I'd try here. A friend of mine is buying a new laptop, but there are two options. One comes with a single 8700M GT graphics card (512mb), and the other comes with 2 8600GTs in SLI (256mb each). (In addition, the 2 x 8600GT option comes with a C2D T7500 processor whereas the 8700 is a T7300). Both options are exactly the same price and there are no other differences.
Anyone able to offer an opinion on which is the better option?
