Two macro shots

Went out yesterday and decided to try using nothing but manual, I'm actually quite liking it but it takes me a little longer than i'd like to set the correct settings. Anyway, here's two shots that resulted...

Hand held (tripod wasn't tall enough :( ) with Canon 100mm macro.

Very nice. Great colours and composition. Top work. I think the top one is a tiny bit distracting by the spider being infront of an out of focus area. It would have been better if he was sat on the end of the stamen. Bottom one is perfect though. :)
 
I kept blowing on him to make him move but that was as good as it got - I agree though, would have been a lot better with him on the end.

awesome shots.

i think the spider works nicely where he is, and on number 2 my eyes are drawn to the big water dropplet sat on two of the petals, just to the left of the centre of the flower
 
Beautiful - I love them both simply for the fact that they show what a good macro is capable of. NICE!

A couple of focal point issues but the colours are awesome.
