I had two main problems on my vista ultimate 32 bit oem such as windows messenger live 8.0 kept continue signing in without logging it on for a long time with no luck. The other problem is cannot backup dvd using windows complete pc backup as I had tries dvd-r, dvd+r, dvdrw but all had failed backed up!

I using Norton Ghost 2003 to backup on dvd and it was successful. I had test it and restore it on formatted spare hard disk and it did restore it back but it asked me to re-activated it within 3 days.

I had rang up microsoft to get me re-activated but they refuse to re-activated because they ask me to use windows complete pc restore.

use arconis instead of ghost, its far better and has official vista support

as for activation, if its legal then keep phoning up until you get someone on the phone who allows you to activate

Tell them you are within your rights to use Norton if you wish and they are obligated to activate your machine.

does anyones notice partition magic 8.0 as vista ntfs is alots of errors on it even thought vista did format it itself when i first installed it. maybe vista using different file system on the partition.

When i start up vista, i check hard disk, it had 286gb on it, 272gb free space on ntfs file system. When i check on partition magic 8, the hard disk got 286gb on it, used space 286gb on it, free space is 0gb.

is it vista or partition magic 8 not up to date with vista ?
