Two missing drives in LVM.

I am using Fedora 14.

In LVM I have one (yes I realise it says two in the title) drive missing (/dev/sdc). It was a NTFS drive reporting issues with bad sectors. I have fdisked it to remove any partitions and GParted it to add a new partition taking the full space of the drive. I cannot see it in LVM ever since I removed the NTFS partition. It is formatted in ext4.

Any suggestions please ?

Thanks

Is it a case of the interface not having show non-lvm managed areas (or equivalent) ticked? If you have formatted all of sdc as a single ext4 filesystem then it isn't a lvm physical volume and will not be in a volume group so hence will not be managed by the lvm subsystem.

Don't think so.

I can see my individual raid drives although not the raid set in LVM and they don't have any vg on them.

I will take a couple of screen shots to show what I mean tonight.

Thanks
