Two People Using One Messenger Account?

First of all, i'm pretty sure this is not possible as from my experience MSN Messenger will log you out if you try to log in on two computers.

The reason for this is as follows. The support staff at my company provide support for our software through a variety of mediums:

Primarily Phone, Email and Skype.

Particularly for our offshore clients, Skype is very helpful both through voice and chat as this negates the costs involved (or indeed minimalises it) for communication overseas.

Skype however, allows our support team to all use one account and several people can respond in a chat window from different computers to a client.

The problem is that several of our larger overseas clients cannot use Skype due to security/privacy restrictions. They would like to use MSN.

The only viable solution to this that I can see is having separate MSN accounts for each support staff member and having the client add all the accounts. Whilst viable, this is untidy and not very professional!

Can anyone think of a alternative solution to this? All support staff need to have access as many are off out on site on a random basis .

Thanks.

I think if you're after something professional you'd be much better off going with something like http://www.liveperson.com/. Never used these guys before, but there's hundreds of these sort of services around, so pick the one that suits your needs and budget.

can you not invite people to chat with you at the same time? on MSN, would that not be what your after?

failing that something like an irc client or something.
