I have £600 to spend on a computer. My present rigs are approx 9 years old. Great in their day, but past t now. I do intend to reuse case/keyboard/mouse/monitor.
First option is to replace the worst of the two. Minimal gaming btw.
System 1
----------
Intel i5-7500
16gb RAM
A Z270 motherboard with at least 1 PCI slot
120GB M2 drive
1TB HDD
RX460 graphics
PSU
comes in about £600
Other option is to get two machines. Just comes in under budget.
System 2
----------
Intel Pentium G4560 (KabyLake) x 2
Gigabyte B250-D3H motherboard x 2
Team Group Elite 16GB (4x4GB) DDR4 PC4-19200C16 2400MHz Quad Channel Kit (split into 8GB per PC)
Kolink Core Series 400W x 2
Toshiba P300 1TB HDD x 2
Sapphire R7 250 2gb (DDR5) x 2
PC use will be mainly wife and kids. Most demanding game will be Minecraft for now.
