Looking to upgrade my 32” monitor. I mostly game and want the 4K for future proofing. Out of the two what do you recommend and why? Or would you recommend another. Grfx card is 4070 Super.

Alienware AW3225QF 32 Inch 4K UHD (3840x2160) 1700R Curved Gaming Monitor, 240Hz, QD OLED,

Versus

ASUS ROG Swift PG32UCDM 4K Ultra HD 31.5" QD-OLED Gaming Monitor - Black

Just received my asus but for future proofing maybe the gigabyte with the 2.1 dp
I take it you are refering to the

Gigabyte AORUS FO32U2P 32” QD-OLED Flat Gaming Monitor - 3840 x 2160(UHD), 240Hz, 0.03ms, 250 cd/m2, KVM, FreeSync Premium Pro, DisplayHDR True Black 400, DisplayPort2.1

Its just over £1k. The DP1.4 version of the screen is down at £919. I have a 32" Gigabyte at the moment and I love it but its only 2K rez. But this also sounds like a good option.

I have the Alienware 32" 4K and it's a good monitor and I don't notice the curve as it's quite gentle. Quick look at manufacturer prices the Alienware is £840 and the Gigabyte £925.00

So if you don't want any curve the Gigabyte is an easy choice. Additional features are a passive heatsink design as some complain about the Alienware OLED monitors fan noise (including my other 34" UW OLED) and the additional 90W USB-C port. So if those features are worth the almost ~£100 extra then go for the Gigabyte.
Money isn’t an issue tbh. Amazon have a sale on the Alienware as you say. I have the curved screen at the moment in the GC32gc or something like that. I like the curve it gives a better on the game especially when you have a bigger viewing area.

So I've looked through the monitors and the specs and watched loads of vids on the Alienware 32", Gigabyte 32" and the ASUS Swift and they are all great monitors. Probably the Gigabyte is the more advanced but in reality, do I need that spec now? No, I don't think I do. But I've also found a voucher code through work and I can by the Alienware AW3225QF for £756.58 inc VAT. It looks and amazing monitor and will no doubt see me through till 2028 and beyond.

Any final thoughts before I click the BUY button?
