two questions, one about thermal paste, one about cpu cooler

It's easy as cake to fit. You sit it down on the CPU and press the tabs into the holes in the mobo at the four corners. There are detailed illustrated instructions to help you along.

It comes with a very good heatsink sauce pre-applied so you don't need to buy any. If you ever take it off you'll need some to replace it, however.

I'm not sure about the Intel version, but my Freezer 64 Pro (socket 939 version) was a pain to fit. It did come with thermal paste preapplied though.

I installed a 64 Pro last night and it was much trickier to install than the 7 Pro. :)

ok thanks guys, and what about the actual cpu, do u need to apply the thermal stuff to that?
No you don't need to do that. Since the two surfaces meet and one has sauce on it, it will be shared by both sides when in contact.
