Hi guys.
I came back from holidays yesterday and have a lot of images to process.
Here is one of panoramas I took and I have couple of questions on it. I played with in Photomatix and Elements 5.

Which crop is better?
Any suggestions on improving it (processing)?

Thanks :)

I prefer the 2nd crop and would personally leave it as it is as far as post processing goes. The green in the algae is really vivid and helps show how much is there!

I find it hard to decide which crop is better, #1 has lots of sky which distracts from the image, but the sky looks good. #2 looks better imo, the horizon looks about 1/3 in from the top? :)

I'm not sure on the crop. I like widescreen-esque landscapes but it doesnt seem quite right. Regardless, i had a quick play with the second one. I upped the exposure by +0.55, upped the mid-levels and then put a gentle 's' curve on the curves. Has a lot more punch to it now i think. The original was a bit under-exposed.

Hope you dont mind.

EDIT: The greens look a little luminous, did you already play with the saturation? :)

thanks guys, decided for N2 with a little more contrast (not too much)
Wish I took few more shots of the sky...

edit:
cheers mate. Yes I increased saturation.
I think I will return to this pano later to try for lighter version.

I think it's because the crop is cut through the dark part of the cloud (#2)?
It looks like something was cut off the top (duh :P)

Maybe try cropping even lower, so you get the light part of the cloud at the top?
