Two Screens Opinions

Hi everyone

I currently have a Samsung curved 27" monitor (S27D590C to be exact) which I bought a few years ago now.

As I'm currently working from home, I'm currently finding one screen very annoying and restrictive! I'm wanting to buy a second screen but unfortunately they don't make this one any more.

So I'm hoping I can get your opinions - if you were me, would you buy another similar 27" monitor (curved or not?), or do you think a smaller one (maybe 24") would be fine or maybe that would look silly?

Cheers guys and I hope you're all keeping safe and well :D

Are you just using it for work? You may want to look into higher resolution monitors if you get another 27" (1440p/4k) - makes reading text a lot less straining among other things

I'd definitely go for something higher resolution than 1080p at 27" then. A smaller monitor may look a little odd side by side horizontally but you could always have it in portrait orientation (if stand supports it/ wall mounting)

got 2 dell 27" u2179d from the rainforest a few weeks ago. Best qhd I have seen, super sharp and very thin bezels. Great investment for working from home

Even the same model may have a slightly different viewing experience, so if you are not bothered then another 27" will be fine and I agree with others that QHD (x1440 resolution) is the best every day use resolution for your main screen however if you are looking for uniformity in screens then perhaps a bigger screen to replace what you have and find use for the old 27" elsewhere

Examples

AG322QC4 ....32" QHD and then you have gaming too should you find yourself filling the hours

or for the equivalent of 2 x 27" in a single screen ... AG352UCG6

both can be found here on Overlcockers site

please feel free to ask me any questions
