Either way it is good to see these features coming to AMD GPU's via AMD themselves or third parties.
 
Downsampling would be nice but game recording doesn't really matter as there is already other software that does that unless I am missing something?

You are missing something. Typical game recording comes with a hefty performance hit. GameDVR recording comes with a very small fps hit.
 
It's not one of the options but slimmer drivers are one of the reasons I chose a 780 over a 290. Shadowplay was the other - but DVR has come along now. If only they had actually let anyone know that it was a possibility.
