Two Stage Authentication with email client..

Ok, I think i know the answer to this but i thought I'd ask.

I have setup my outlook email address with a Two Stage Authentication but now my local Outlook client isn't working. yet interestingly enough, the mail app on my iPhone work fine.

Does anyone know of a way round this? I thought it would pick up my main PC as a Trusted Device.

You need to generate an App password for the Outlook client.

.. this is my point Outlook 2016 doesn't seem to support 2fa..

I think you have to have a specific application password for outlook as it doesn't support traditional 2fa.

That was the case when I set up gmail.

I'm using an out look account with outlook client 2016..
