Two Stupid Questions - Hitman & Saints Row

Hi all, I know these are daft questions but any answers appreciated in advance. Both relate to the X360.

1) Having finished Hitman Blood Money on normal, do I need to start a new profile in the game to do the different difficulty levels or can I keep using the same one and just redo all the levels (which would presumably mean keeping the guns I've found and upgraded during normal)?

2) I've lost my Saints Row disc and was really enjoying the game. If I buy a new one will my hdd keep all the save game info so I don't need to replay all the missions and activities I've done?

it'll be saved on the harddrive/memory card so it should just load up that savepoint.

All the difficulties act independant of each other. You start afresh for each difficulty but you don't lose your normal progress and weapons. You use the same profile though.
