Two systems on one screen

Hey all,
I have a Dell 2007wfp with my PC connected via DVI-D. I'd also like to connect my Playstation 3 via the same port; are there any accessories which will allow me to to for example, connect both cables to one adapter that plugs in to the monitor, with a switch to the choose which cable to draw from?

I can do that, but I seem to remember that there is some sort of quality loss or inability to play HD/blu ray or something? (connecting PC to VGA I mean)
