Two to Four Gig mp3 player- recommendations?

I've currently got a 30Gb iPod but I'm fed up of errors and fed up of iTunes. Not a week goes by without something being wiped, songs disappearing wholesale, info being lost.

Also, when I bought my iPod I didn't have my car. Between movies and it's huge capacity it was perfect for bus journeys but I haven't watched a film on it for months. I just put a playlist on shuffle and that's it.

My car has a 3.5mm line in for any player and the Creative Zen Stone caught my eye but are there alternatives?

I'd like:

Drag and Drop functionality. I hate iTunes, WMP 10 & 11 and Sony's Sonicstage from my MD days (although I understand some smaller Sony players are D&D too?)

2Gb capacity or thereabouts. I have around 5Gb of mp3's but for a simple, small player I won't want my whole collection with me.

It doesn't have to have a screen- I'll mostly just knock up a big mixture and leave it on shuffle.

Good sound.

I don't mind paying good money for a good player. I used to have a 20Gb iRiver and it was corking value- not too sure I like the looks of their current efforts though.

So, can anyone recommend a player that fits the bill?

Does anyone have a Zen Stone or the Plus version and can give any tips?

Fanks :)
