I am in Oz, but coming home soon! :)

and i have heard that Top Gear has finished and wont be returning to our screens, and that MoTD now wont be on either, as ITV ahve the rights now to show the Premiership highlights on TV!

can anyone confirm or deny?

Top Gear... nothing has been confirmed, as far as I know I think they will be coming back to do another series... but nobody is sure.

I hope they do, because I want to know what happened to the 'Grow Your Own Petrol' :D

Match of The Day... not heard anything about it being scrapped?
I'm sure I remember something about ITV getting the rights to the FA cup or something next season... but not everything !??!?!?

i hope not mate ....

MoTD was the official end of my weekend with a 'rolly' on a sunday night

:)

Haha, yeah Top Gear on a sunday night was fanstatic... used to go out for a few beers afterwards and then pop back just in time to watch Match of The Day :D

Great end to a weekend :p

Done a bit of googling on the MoTD thing, can't find anything saying its ending?

There is stuff on the BBC losing the rights to the FA cup next season. The BBC have rights for the premiership until 2009/2010 season according to Wikipedia.

Looks like the BBC also have right to show some England games too, but lost some ground to ITV.

I really hope they don't lose everything to ITV... it would be a terrible shame as football on ITV really does suck ****s

It's been in the news recently about Top Gear filming in Botswana, and churning up the salt pans there. Plus theres nothing on the Top Gear web site about it stopping.

Apparently Top Gear has a 'Polar Challenge' special which is supposed to air on the 25th July 2007.

The distance between northern Canada and the North Pole is 450 miles; it's a journey across sea ice and unforgiving mountainous terrain where temperatures can drop to -65C. Only fools would attempt such a journey. So Jeremy and James are attempting to do it in a converted pick-up and Richard hopes to make it on a sled pulled by ten Canadian Inuit Dogs. Nice to see him taking things easy after the crash.

Why would they stop the show, its a ratings hit worldwide, something like 350million viewers.

I haven't heard anything about ITV getting the rights back, i hope not because they're coverage sucked last time

The premiership << MOTD
