Hi, currently have a system that doesn't meet the requirements for Windows 11.

I5 - 2500k
GA-P35-DS3R (rev. 1.0)

What would be good replacements that would meet the requirements and not leave the system less capable. Improvement would be nice.

I know it's pretty old, so maybe I'd be looking at used components.

Cheers.

What is your budget? And I wouldn't bother with Windows 11 for now unless you have an application that requires it.

There is actually a workaround for the requirements for the CPU and TPM for windows 11 and the os will install fine on most systems.

Do a search for Installing Windows 11 on unsupported hardware and there are plenty of guides.

Otherwise you would be looking at CPU/Memory/Motherboard and using FTPM (AMD Firmware Trusted Platform Module) Or Intel PTT (Platform Trust Technology) Which is built into the CPU Architecture and both are TPM2.0.

▷ Team Group Vulcan Z T-Force 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4… | OcUK (overclockers.co.uk)

That will be better than your current system by a fair bit.. I would add a nvme SSD in there as well for an extra performance for the OS and programs loading etc.

Hope that helps. :)

If you really want W11 use Rufus https://rufus.ie/en/.

If you use USB Rufus to mount the iso to a usb stick, you can bypass the TMP and Secure boot check

I would stick with W10 for now though.
