Two windows vista querys

I have an amd 64 4400+ asrock 939dual sata and 2 gig of ram and xi-fi gamer soundcard
With much head scratching I managed to work out how to install Vista with This hardware setup on my sata drive, but only in 32bit is there something im missing on why I cant install it in 64bit ?

It installs up to near the end when I recive this error message:-

"Windows\system32\drivers\jaacix64.sys Status DXC000428
Windows cannot verify the digital signature of this file"

Yes i did use the x64 sata driver off of the floppy

The second query is when i boot up in vista it takes a while for it to indentify my router and connect to the internet unless I pull the power out of the router and plug it back in, it will then start to identify it right away. Does it allways take so long to find and identify the router/network ?
Im using d-link draft-n gigabit router which says its vista ready .

sounds a silly question but did you install Vista from a 64bit CD? attempting to install a 64bit driver will do nothing if the Os isnt already 64bit

yes I did , I tried several versions of it on the 32bit version it will not let me use the 64bit sata driver

I used a vista 64bit ultimate it let my use the 64bit drivers then seems to get its knickers in a twist at the end

well no it wouldnt, you would need the 32bit driver for it to work on a 32 bit OS.

Knickers in a twist how? as that is the combination that should work. (64 - 64bit)

athough i must say the fact you seem to have a 64bit ultimate and a 32 bit premium randomly a bit odd and i am wondering whether you have downloaded a cracked version of vista?

*shrugs* just asking. well the 64bit OS and the 64bit driver should work, if you can tell us the problem beyond "knickers in a twist" im pretty sure someone can help you?

else is there a reason you want 64bit? im presuming you bought 32bit and as you dont have 4GB RAM and the 32bit works with your drive just to use that?

my m8 has 63bit vista with 4 gig of ram installed and is playing lotro but it keeps crashing .

he thinks its the graphics cards fault so as i have the same graphics card I wanted to see if happened to me

he has a different mobio and cpu though .

I cant seem to be able to get the 64bit ver to install

although i can install the one 32bit rc1 that microsoft sent me

seemed like it was thinking I used the wrong drivers to me , but im prolly wrong there
