I bought a Corsair TX650M PSU about a week ago now, and ever since installing it into my PC I have noticed that when I click the power button, there is a pop noise. Then on shutdown, once the PC has finished shutting down, there is a very audible 'click'

Is this/are these normal noises? I have come from an orange label VS550 unit, which never made these noises, so its a bit unsettling for me.

Does it sound like a relay? Similar to the sound your car makes as you turn the key to start the engine.

Couldnt tell you tbh, I dont drive and not been in a car for a while now due to current crisis, I wouldnt know how to describe it really, other than a click, maybe something akin to the click a lighter would make? and on startup its just a very small quick pop

Every modern high efficiency PSU has relay which bypasses inrush surge limiting NTC resistor and then relaxes when PSU is shut down doing that click.
But popping noise isn't sound of relay...

And you better remove that link.

Link removed, sorry, and yeah im not sure if the pop noise is my PSU tbh, I placed my phone camera under the PSU and the noise didnt even register on my phone when I turned it on, so im guessing that is coming from somewhere else, but the click on shutdown is definitely the PSU
