TxT with 4870

EDIT FOUND FIX SEE BELOW

Ok switched from 8800GT to 4870.
Used driver cleaner to nuke old Nvidia drivers, and installed ATI on disc +hotfix.

problem thats bugging me is font smoothness in 'some' applications (steam, outlook express for example).
Windows/browser Fonts are fine?
never had the issue with the nvidia, so something in driver settings to alter ?

Ok if i set the font DPI to default 96dpi its clear, but I have always used the larger 120dpi without an issue, anyone got any idea's of driver settings to smooth the 120dpi font setting ?

Ok found the fix.
If anyone else ahs the issue, here is what to do (this is in Vista 32bit, might work on 64?)

1) Right click on desktop or goto control panel and select 'Personalize'
2)At the Top left will be 2 options, select 'Adjust font size' and click continue when promted
3)At the bottom of new window, there is a button ' Custom DPI' select this.
4) Bottom of new window, tick box 'use windows style DPI scaling'
5) now the larger 120DPI option will be back to clear type font

Maybe will help someone in the future, if they use search anyway
