Tygon Clouding Pictures after 3 Weeks

Mate of course i did i posted in my OP that i flushed the rad and CPU block and the res.

I know how to flush the stuff mate, ive done it a few times before.

Its not the flux.... Its gotta have been the Kill coil or the PTnuke simples.

i know bud jsut trying to help, been in this game for many a year..as you can tell by my sig: AND MY TRiple loop build i have just posted. Just trying to help mate, as lets be honest it does look like flux doesnt it?

BTW have you tried thermochills own brand of clear tubing...its better than tygon and costs less

No mate it doesnt look like flux, i have had at least 6 watercooled rigs before and 3 of them Mountain Mods cases. And have always used Tygon in the past but have always used Feser coloured fluids and no clouding.
This time i have tried de-ionided water, kill coil and PT nuke and clouding after just 2-3 weeks.

Not tried any other tubing as of yet but will be taking opinions on whats the next best thing.

Thanks

thermochill clear is brilliant

for coloured tubing xspc ofcourse is well respected.

hmm i think that could been issue PT nuke and silver coil, thats an awful lot for any system to handle at once. I wouldnt recommend silver coil to anyone, a couple of drops of PT is enough.

BTW mate we are all here trying to help you and we are all experienced in our field! Be patient with us and we can get to the bottom of your issue!

Hi

This post may seem a little off topic and I can't see the pictures but I just wanted to ask something and suggest something. I have absolutely no water cooling experience but I do have a different background from which to suggest ideas.

First the question ... What is a kill coil and what does it do ?

Second the suggestion ...

Perhaps not this clouding but some clouding with water in clear tubing (of any type) could be caused by Algae growing in the water and as a prevoious poster suggested the trace elements found in water naturally.

I am a Reef aquarium keeper so I know a thing or two about cristal clear water in a tubed system.

There was a previous poster in this thread that mentioned the use of UV lights. UV is commonly used to kill Algae in the aquarium system. Pass through UV lamps can be bought from your local fish shop.

Reef tank keepers like myself also use specailly purified water called Reverse Osmosis or RO water to mix up for use in tanks. this is the purest of pure water there is nothing but hydrogen and oxygen (H2O) you can also take a container to your local fish shop and ask them to fill it with fresh RO for a small charge I think I pay £3.50 for 25 Litres.

Not sure if this info is of any help to you guys but I thought some knowledge from a different hobby may be of use here.

Regards
Nev

I'm not sure how low the µS in RO water can get, but no doubt it's right up there with quality distilled or DI water.
Then again it may not want to be too pure for the poor fishies :)
I'd venture a guess that RO water is in-fact the same thing as distilled water.

Kill coil is a a piece of silver (0.999) which acts as an antimicrobial agent through a process whose name I forget right now.
I'm drunk sorry, CBF'd... :)

Thanks for that info ;)

The fish do not suffer as when I mix the RO water with the salt mix to make up the right specific mavity for my reef, the reef salt mix contains all the correct levels of elements to support fish and corals. This is why we use RO because other filtration methods could leave some elements behind that would put the system out of balance when you mix the salt mixture in it.

you are right that distilled water is also as pure if not more so (assuming the distillation is done in a sterile environment) but I understand it is a less economic process and so the resultant water is more expensive.

Yeah I've no idea, like deionised (DI) water, distillation is a fairly generic term.
So I'd guess a number of types of distilled water (inc. RO) fall under that banner.
