i am having a custom 2.5 bpipe made as I got sick of waiting for r8byb to start taking orders again.

This will have a silencer on it it reduce the overall noise as I have heard a car with an unsilenced pipe and an N1 and its just comically loud.

Don't ABP change the box oil as part of the service anyway? And whatever you do keep it as Honda MTF, don't stray away from it!

Indeed. But I can't get it there for a couple of weeks yet.

I have 3 litres of Honda MTF-3 on order via Ebay. £32 delivered from Holdcroft ;)

I also went for a new Gear Gaitor, as the cheap material Honda make theirs from is just awful. Fake Leather :\ and it has started to show its age. I looked at this, was very tempted by this one in Alcantara! , but ended up going for this one!.

The standard one has a 'Perforated' appearance, but isn't actually perforated...

rate my gear gaitor choice first :p

I noticed the one in the car was a bit tatty when Gibbo took me out in it.

cant be helped sadly as the two FN2s that I drove when I was car hunting both had tatty gaiters

I thin kthe one you've gone for looks nice as it is close to OEM quality from the pics.

Mugen > Schpoone

agreed, but I don't have enough for a second mortgage and yours was a steal! :p

Back from a long weekend at Spa. The ATR didn't miss a beat, except almost getting stuck in the camp site. Damn you performance tyres combined with mud and a hill.

Do the ATR's use the PG1 box thats shared with the rover turbo lumps? If so do they suffer bearing failure like the rovers do? (Hopefully not a stupid question, I figure the ATR has a lot less torque than the rover)

Thanks :)

For a Civic thats bloody quick!

His driving though is superb, his lines seem perfect and he seems to have lightning reactions, but this is more impressive:-

Best lap of the ring without traffic - 7:57, amazing when you consider a Type-R's book time is 8:47, obviously a stock car on road tyres of course, wheras this chap is running a fully track prepared Civic, but still the driver is the biggest part in a fast lap of the ring and that boy can drive. :)

A quick car, a very quick driver and I imagine mega bucks spent. :D

the FN2 is on 18s right at stock?

does it feel on driving (I'mhoping to get a test drive next week) a bit on the tops of its toes ?

my wifes Type-S - 2005 - seems to have much stiffer suspension than my 1.8 VTI (although not as stiff as a Type-R I'm sure) - and is on 17s (standard - option) - it corners very flat - but it doesn't feel as connected to the road - if that makes sense

it feels a bit on tippy-toes

the VTI - running same make/manufacturer of tyres has much more body roll (not good) BUT feels much more connected to the road
