Type R and VTEC owners

Did you buy them from rarerims? He would balance and fit the AD08's, then send them out to you if you asked..

Also, which nuts are you using with them? Should look great on your car :)

I ordered these last month from rarerims yeah, didn't have the £££ to get both wheels and tyres so will be getting tyres once I am paid this week!

Just got a set of Titan wheel nuts which came with the wheels in silver. Need some locking wheels nuts however. I am going to change the center caps to as the rota ones look naff IMO. Maybe a Honda "H" style ones or mugen?

Nice wheels those, style wise I think the wheels are the only thing that lets down the genuine mugen kitted crz.

Possibility I might be getting some new wheels soon as well....!

Thanks man :)

Isn't 16x7 pretty tiny for that car?

Stock is 16 x 6.5

No need for 17" as getting AD08 is the correct size on a 17" would be £150 a corner which bumps the price up considerably and the fact that the wheels themselves would be more expensive.

Planning on any suspension mods, or just the wheels? I guess its the high offset that causes it to look a bit weak as standard (like the fn2 where the wheels are tucked way into the arches). Ride height looked fine when I saw it at the RR day but the offset on the new wheels might change the look a little.

But 168 is bigger than 144 ;)

Had a funny few weeks with the s2000, ended up driving down some horrid roads about 3 weeks ago which threw the rear alignment out. The car felt very twitchy, not very sure footed, pulling to one side, vibrations at some speeds (not a balance issue), overall just not right. Didn't help also had a nail in one of the rears that was very slowly leaking air.

Took it to the local place to get it on the hunter and yup the rear was out (forget the exact numbers, can dig out the sheet though) and joy I have the usual seized bits.

So I've started to get things together to get the bushes and bolts sorted, but then this week after 3 weeks of it driving like crap it all feels back to almost normal??

Guessing I've knocked it back into spec a little more than what it was lol.

So slight dilemma in do I go ahead with the repairs or leave it, decided I will still get it done but just annoying it's not that bad now :p

Gives me an excuse to start getting those bits done, DMS are sorting me out with some replacement arms on an exchange basis, powdercoated with new bushes fitted and bolts for a reasonable price.

Living in the arse end of nowhere I'm not near any of the specialists and doing it this way works out best, I'll just send them my old arms back.

Also picked up some new rear discs and pads as mine are looking a little sorry for themselves and whilst it's in bits may as well get them swapped.

Looking at eibach pro springs too and then a good fast road set up with the eibach camber arms.

Well will have it for 9 months/12k miles longer at a bare minimum but will likely keep it longer.

Only gripe is as a long term keeper I'd have rather a facelift so slightly begrudge spending on it but then they were a good 3k more to buy, and when I bought the car it was only supposed to be a short term thing.

Problem was the car is too good fun to get rid, will have had it 12 months soon and done almost 20k in it!

If I was you I'd get it done, you will probably fall in love all over again once it's been given a refresh.

I can see us ending up keeping the car for the long run anyway and I'll just get something else to use day to day eventually and have that tucked away in the garage for play time.

Well the plan was originally to only keep it a couple of months as a stop gap :p

To me it's just a good fun car, it's quick enough for me when you need it to be but it's not about the out and out pace it's just nice to drive.

Getting Milltek exhaust fitted today...hoping to take some videos later :)

Weather is fantastic today, all your talk of S2000s is making me sad for crashing one...perfect day for a car like that!

IVTEC just kicked out y0. The R18a2 in my FK2 is always on the hi cam and the low cam engages at light throttle for economy, the drive by wire cracks open the throttle the and manages engine power with the inlet valves to reduce pumping losses, nice 140bhp and not coarse. Would be superb in the CRZ with IMA!

Got my new rims today, similar to Naths in style!

I wasn't planning on changing from the standard FN2 wheels, indeed I had planned just to put Eibach spacers on to fill the arches out a bit more, as it looks a bit starved with the standard wheels.

However these came up for sale second hand, a set of Buddyclub P1 SFs in 18 x 7.5, ET42, so pretty much perfect fitment for the car and also one of my favourite wheels. They came with the original wheel net covers and were in their original boxes, new spigot rings, and are absolutely immaculate for a year old set of wheels...I have the original invoice which was for £848.

The seller was originally asking £550 and couldn't sell them for that, he had some interest (I think Relentless was interested in them for the Accord at some point based on what the seller said to me) but nobody paid up. He wanted a quick sale so he has the money towards his new car...so he would take £400 cash.

Now I think I will sell my stock wheels once I have the tyres swapped over onto these, and the eibach spacers I bought will go back on ebay tonight as I won't need them with these wheels...

Yeah I nearly paid £500 for them and then had a serious rethink about what I want from my car and decided not to spend any money on it for now as I've got a lot on over the next 6 months

You got a great deal congrats, especially if that includes the Muteki wheel nuts too, they're £60 alone

Enjoy

Yep got the nuts too although they aren't great condition! I won't be using them though - but more importantly, the key for any set of Muteki locking nuts also fits any other set....so they're not exactly the most secure locking nuts in the world :(

A mate of mine has some genuine TE37s on a supercharged Civic Jordan with Muteki nuts, he's storing my wheels for me for a couple of weeks until I can get them fitted, anyway he did not seem happy this afternoon when I took the key for my Muteki nuts and showed how I could use it to take the nuts off his wheels :D

Nice wheels Will. :)

I have recently picked up a spare steering wheel from a breakers, search for ep3 kings on Facebook. They have loads of stuff in. £20 for the wheel. It hasn't arrived yet but I plan on sending it to Royal Steering Wheels to be retrimmed. I spoke to the guy and he has been very helpful.

I want one retrimmed in alcantara with red stitch. I reckon it will look good. The pic below is one he sent through to me.

I'm going to get the whole wheel done in alcantara rather than having leather top and bottoms like in the pic.
He mentioned he had made this one thicker too, I'm gonna keep mine the normal size.

What do you guys think? Has anyone on this forum used this guy before?

Also, anybody know if an ep3 wheel would fit in an S2000?
