Type R and VTEC owners

Yeah in honesty I'm starting to think I'd look like a [insert choice of expletive here]

I might just stick with the Teg induction noise for now until I can here an unsilenced in the flesh.

I had a Magnex unsilenced cat back on mine, it was quite loud when giving it some but nice and deep, never raspy, but the purists said oh thats sooooo lame it's a magnex.

Hey ho lol.

With the standard backbox and reduced/removed mid silencer they always sound raspy and gash, best off getting a backbox also if you change the B pipe :)

Civic Jordan #273

Right guys it's about time I get some pictures up of the Jordan showing how it's changed in my ownership over the past 3 and half years.

So here's how it was when I brought it back in Feb 2010.

Then in Dec 2011 a very good friend of mine told me he was breaking his Jordan, which had a lot of mods I wanted. So a trip north was made and I started collecting parts :D

I've been a little busy over winter and finally got round to it... So the car has undergone a bit of a transformation, from this....

Oh hello what have we here... :D

Ok now for the update you're all interested in...

So i've never really been one for badges and decals but someone gave me this so thought why not..

P1000291.jpg

Well what did you think, i'm not one to confuse people so thought i might as well get the kit to match :D

P1000286.jpg

P1000287.jpg

P1000288.jpg

P1000289.jpg

P1000290.jpg

Well with the extra power some 'upgrades' were required, so out with the old....

P1000275.jpg

P1000276.jpg

And I manage to stumble accross these....

P1000270.jpg

P1000268.jpg

P1000277-1.jpg

So figured i'd put them to good use and got them fitted

P1000278.jpg

What we have here is a Votech high output supercharger running on the reduced pulley too :D an ACT prolite flywheel and 6 puck clutch with a rather special S4C. It's got the LSD fitted but been changed for a Kaaz LSD, the box was stripped, new bolts for the diff and resealed and put back together.

I've got to give a massive shout out to the guys at R-Motion, cant recoomend them enough, great work at a great price and 2 of the nicest blokes you're ever likely to meet.

Ok guys time for the final piece of the jigsaw as such - the mapping. Here is all the parts that were changed and graphs from the map.

OEM rad and fan setup
P1000473.jpg

P1000474.jpg

New Koyorad and Spal fan
P1000475.jpg

New RC 750cc injectors
P1000471.jpg

Hondata 4bar MAP sensor
P1000472.jpg

Hondata S300 V2
P1000477.jpg

And now for the graphs

First up WHP vs Torque
P1000800.jpg

And now Boost vs WHP
P1000801.jpg

So thats 228.6 WHP (which is approx 260-270bhp) and 150 lbft torque. The figures are what was roughly expected from the kit and the way it drives now is amazing. So fun to drive :D I cant thank Will at Race Dyno Tuning enough for the hours he put into this. If ever any of you want any sort of work doing definatly look him up :)

Here is a link to the video I took of the final run http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5cKwViUZ6jo enjoy!

So what do you all think?

Right then heres the lastest things I got fitted to my car back in April this year.

P1000935_zpsad578288.jpg

Also the engine mounts were struggling, they got advised on the MOT the other week, anyway I got myself some Innovative billet aluminium 60a mounts :)

Right time for another small update. I've had the Rays refurbished, just in time for JAE :D

Naturally I kept with the Y56 as I feel it works so well with the car and is unique :)

Anyway on to the photos.

Managed to get hold of some brand new genuine Rays stickers courtesy of a mate of mine.

Nice. Seen this car regularly up opposite the Honda dealers, assumed it was just your typical stock Civic on rotas tbh, I sure got it wrong. You use it for track? Better spec than your usual street stuff..

Not been on track as of yet but I fully intend to when the weather improves in the new year now. Yeah I work in the parts department at the Honda dealer in Wolves (it has its perks) ;)
