Type R and VTEC owners

i just assumed it was a b series. didnt look to closely.

my favourite thing was the Recaro Tomcat seats. mega rare and i love the colour.

The white EK [P539LJM] was a bit of a cool story.

it was imported from south africa. the guy who built it showed me the vin number, which was nothing like anything id seen before. the car has a double locking panic mode button to stop you getting kidnapped and the paint colour is actually a mercedes ice white. he called honda south africa for a paint code and mercedes build hondas there.

mental.

Do they fly around the world mapping Hondas due to reputation and hence demand?

It's a him, not they.

Maybe he doesn't want to spend his time flying around the world mapping, or just does well enough for himself as is. He also rebuilds engines, does stunning work building epic turbo'd Honda engines and seems to correct/improve botched mapping attempts from other places.

Price back from Honda today for my 75k, £400 inc Vat after asking for some money off which is a decent discount from the original price quoted. Indy comes in at £350 for the equivalent so think I'll go Honda to keep the history even though if I'm honest I have more faith in the Indy to work on the car.

The local guy will do -15mm eibachs for £200 fitted which is also sounding mightily attractive, not sure if I've just not looked hard enough but lowest parts only price I can find is about £150 for them, at that difference it's just not worth me fitting them myself

That's not bad at all. I'd still fit them myself, but then I could borrow some spring compressors, otherwise you'd have to buy them making the £50 a nknbrainer.

I got my 6 year service coming up. I do wan't to go to a specialist but I know people value main dealer stamps and don't really want to break the mould. Be looking at £700 easy.

Yeah i've got compressors so diy is a non issue - just checked with them though and I think I picked up the £200 wrongly, sounds like it's actually £250...so I probably won't get them to fit

Fair enough, save the pennies. Use the time with them off to clean your arches and other suspension parts :)

Fair enough, I dont even know if Mase still travel about anyway. Just dunno why the discreditation was needed when a poster said they had made a purchase...

If you're referring to loltim then to me it looked like him just preferring RDT rather than this Mase guy, without any discreditation in there.

I've heard about Mase, would be interesting to see his results.

I'd always stick with someone in the same country at least, to help if there are any issues and to alter the mapping as required. Really wanting a turbo'd B18 now in a stripped out UKDM shell, the N55 in my M135i is incredible and can only leave me thinking on how epic some VTEC turbo fun would be.

After setting up the geo last week with a mate and enjoying a few days across the highlands last weekend, I really do think it's going to be impossible to sell the Teg. It's just beyond amazing around the stunning A and tight B roads up here!
