Type R and VTEC owners

It's still in that size segment though. Absolutely not my type of car, but it's fiesta sized (actually more space inside I'd say). The si looks a bit more acceptable and apparently they'll get / have got the new small turbo engine

I don't think Jazz is in Fiesta size range, I just had a quick google to see what cars the Jazz gets compared to and it was mainly B-Max (from Ford.) and some other similiar sized cars such as Kia Venga. You could also include Skoda Fabia, that cars has lots of space. I passed my practical car driving test, Fiesta has nowhere near as much space.

Fiesta is tiny, I sat in couple when I was looking at buying a small 'fun' hatch.
I was mainly interested in:
- Honda Civic 1.6 Sport (EP2 in short)
- Ford Fiesta 1.6 Zetec S
- Suzuki Swift 1.6 Sport - That was just an alternative, wasn't a big fun of that car tbh. Not saying its bad, just not my taste.

Come on Honda! ...make a good looking car, apart from the Accord... :(

Nah it's not quite that tall despite the looks - bit like a slightly longer panda more than anything else.

A jazz, fabia, fiesta, polo, etc etc are all in the same class

The Jazz competes in the same segment as Fiesta, it's not a B-Max rival, I think your getting confused with the MPVish looks, it is very cleverly packaged which is why its roomy and practical, the ethos around it is slightly different to a Fiesta.

But Jazz compared to Fiesta, Polo or even Swift doesn't seem very attractable even to non-petrolheads does it? What's your average Jazz driver? A 70 year old pensioner, mostly female...

I'm not hating on Honda, as the new NSX is sexy. :D But they should seriously re-design the Civic or make the CR-Z more affordable and or get rid off Jazz and design a new car which can compete with little FUN hatches.

BTW I always prefer pictures taken by amateurs as the car looks more natural and those pictures show the real looks of the car without any PhotoShop bs.

The Jazz is a highly successful car, i think it might even be best seller in UK for Honda, hence why it has kept that same MPV shape for 3 generations. As for owners being OAP's that is just silly stereotypes, all Honda's are tagged with that image, I see Jazz's everyday and the demographic is broad just like most cars.

The Civic has already been overhauled for the 10 gen, the changes are major, the CR-Z is now out of production and the Jazz has its own USP and target market, its not after an already saturated "fun little hatch" market.

The NSX looks superb. :)

Not going to be a Honda owner any time soon than. :p

Everyone criticizing the new Civic, Just go and view one in person. :)
I have, its ugly af. The front isn't that bad, but the rest is just...

Didn't take long.

VTEC kicked in lol! :D:p

Test drove the new Type R today. Amazing.

Mine arrives in the next few days.

Accordingly to many reviewing sites even though it looks how it looks, it is one of the best handling hatches. But I'm still waiting for the final battle Civic Type R vs Focus RS.

What colour are you getting, post some pictures when you get it. :)

Milano Red

Should have had it today, but a mess up by Honda meant it was not the GT version built. But Honda and the dealership have been great, got me another one that was to be allocated to elsewhere and it is mine when it comes of the production line this week.

A few days late, but I have been nicely compensated as well as being one of the 1st to test drive the blue demo they had today.

It is amazing, the seats are so comfortable. Turbo lag until 3.5k revs and then it is a rocketship and when you think it is all over the VTEC kicks in :D:D
It just sticks to the road on corners, roundabouts are going to be a great giggle :)
The ride around town was surprisingly good as long as you keep it below 3.5k and high gears, almost perfect for those slow times in traffic. Drop a few cogs, boot it and you then wake the town up as it just rockets away :)
The R Button isn't for looks, there is a noticeable difference as the throttle response is altered and the ride stiffens, but not as harsh as I thought it would be.

It also sounds amazing, a low growl and bark when you hit the loud pedal :)

Only downside is the 19inch 35 profile sport 6 (new) tires from Continental. They are estimated to last 3 - 6k miles and will cost a bomb :)

The looks I was getting driving it around were funny, chins on the floor.

I always wonder this, what are the requirements of test driving a car such as the Civic Type R? e.g. Age, How long have you held your license, Criminal record?

Are there any costs e.g. insurance?

Really not sure about the fk2. I've had an ep3 and I currently own and fn2 but maybe it's too lairy I actually prefer the 2015 focus rs looks massively at the moment. Also the side of the fk2 is pretty hideous imo. Maybe in a few years they'll grow on me like the fn2 did and I'll own one.

Mine was a photocopy of license, sign form to be on their insurance and Honda guy sat in passenger seat for their insurance purposes. No cost at all to me.
I am 43 so not sure of age requirements.
