Type R and VTEC owners

Having a set of wheels to run winters on my the deciding factor for me going for AD08R, although so far I can't say I've had any drama with them, even with it being -3 a couple of mornings ago

Arches update: called them up on Monday to see if they can take some photos of the progress. They were a bit surprised as they usually only get requests like that when it's a project hot rod or something:p I explained it will be useful for when I come to sell. It'll prove it was a proper job and not a sand/fill job.

I might give them a call tomorrow but to be honest I can't pick it up until the weekend and I'm in no rush at all as I commute on foot.

Expect a proper update at the weekend where I realise I want a front end respray:cool::o:(

I've just had an offer of £14500 from the insurance company which is much better than I expected and I've accepted it. The initial offer was £10600 however they then asked for all the invoices for the work and parts done on the car which I sent in. I also have around £2000 in parts for it sat in the garage.

I can't commend Greenlight and Highway/LV enough on how they have been throughout the whole claim process.

No bad considering I paid £8000 for it some 20 months ago.

Those parts are all listed for sale.
Part of me has thought about buying the car back and stripping the mods, but not sure if it's financially viable, plus I don't really have the facilities to do it all.
Viewing two Evo's tomorrow.

£14,600 a really good outcome!

I know your love your EVO 9, but why not grab an X, all they seem to be doing at present getting more and more expensive, plus they are a nicer place to be than a 9 and out the box handle UK roads better than the firmer 9's do.

Hey guys, im now the proud owner of a 2001 facelift Honda Accord Type R. Picked her up last weekend, have owned a couple before hand (the last one was 3 years ago and have been driving a derv mondeo since then). Shes got 63k miles on the clock and no footwell rot! Im over the moon with her! Hoping to get the rotary polisher on her this weekend.

Nice, I went to look at a pristine 45k mile one but it had rot starting in the footwells and by the subframe mounts was all flaking away. I was gutted!
