Type R and VTEC owners

I recently joined the VTEC club. I wanted something small and reliable to get me to work so I bought a 2006 Honda Civic 1.8. It's the first petrol I have had in about 12 years.

My other half has a 2007 Civic 1.8 I-VTEC and it's a brilliant engine!! Such good fun to drive, Honda do know how to make cracking engines. MPG though, sitting at 35.6 with over 150k so not great!

Really enjoying the FK2R, it's everything I want the FN2 to be, I've only tweaked a few bits but I know when ECU is properly unlocked then 400/400 will likely follow.

Standard clutches are no good after 380 bhp, and there's rumours going around that the cooling system in use on the car is at its limit.

Damn that NSX is cool.

How are you finding the install Brightside? The HKS is a good kit. What boost are you going to be running? Which injectors, fuel pump and ECU did you go for?

Still awaiting my dyno tune with the water/meth kit, painful wait!

Ordered some Nashin 4pots / 330mm brakes (bridged monoblock) instead of the Wilwoods.

Next up will be the HKS Dual exhaust then I think I'm done for a bit..

Some junkie scumbag broke into my DC5 the other day. Caused a fair bit of damage to the paint on the driver's door. Bent some of the frame round the window. After getting access climbed in and in the process got mud all over the immaculate blue alcantara. Had a good rummage about the car, stole a whole load of speaker cable I had in the boot which was for our new house which didn't get installed as I couldn't get more in time. He then decided to go for the head unit and in the process destroyed the whole surround and ripped out the hazard switch as well as all the wiring.

Managed to source the parts through a breaker but totally gutted about the whole thing. Stereo has to be woth £50 at most and I'm left with probably close to a £500 bill. Who the fek steals stereos these days anyway. ****

Gutted isn't the word. Day before we were due to move house as well. Caused so much hassle. I hope his bag of drugs disagrees with him and he has a slow painful death.

It has taken me around 3 and a half days, i did read people saying its possible to do it in a day, but for me atleast it was not possible, not even close. But i do have no previous experience with this sort of thing.

No idea on what boost, but should be making around 350 at the wheels, im running a walbro 255 fuel pump, and 660cc HKS injectors that come with the fuel upgrade kit. Also have the AEM EMS 2.

Its all complete now awaiting the dreaded mapping, just hope nothing goes wrong, its booked in tomorrow for the dyno. Car wont be started until then, so fingers crossed nothing is wrong!

Not heard of him, hope it goes well.

There are some well regarded tuners on forums who are quite frankly not very good.
