Type R and VTEC owners

If you haven't then try the following companies:
Pace Ward
Keith Michaels
Greenlight
Adrian Flux
Sky Insurance
Brenacre
Sainsbury's (ensure you ring them as the DC5 doesn't show up on their site)

You may get better quotes.

I'll have a look about, its just out of interest more than anything.

If I ever was in the position to drop big money on a Honda, I'd probably look at an FD2.

I'd love an FD2 but for me they are not as good for track days due to weight, plus the extra amount they cost, no thanks. Once I get my job close to home I will keep the DC5 and get a GTI or R to potter around in.

Just completed my double din install:

Not the worst job in the world to get apart, but a fair bit of swearing as I tried to put everything back together. Pretty pleased how that turned out, the audio quality is better and now I actually have a choice of USB input, aux input and bluetooth/wifi.

Curious
Anyone had both or experience of both ?
I have chance to buy a good late 05 premier edition ep3 with 85k on it Or a thousand pound more for a good fn2 with with 67k on it

I know neither will set world on fire. But I don't really need a diesel any more.
I think the ep3 might hold value long term better but what's the opinion. Both are standard more or less, no silly exhausts or lowered. How are they as daily use cars ? Only thing I've been told is both generally need a chain around 80-100k if you reallywant to maintain it properly. And a service history is very important.

That CW FN2 is on my street and I drive past it most days. It is a clean car in the flesh and looks in good condition.

Good to know for someone interested in buying.

Was just doing my daily car browse and looking at EP3s this one popped up and immediately thought it looked like a nice car, certainly changing my previous opinion on the look of the FN2, in the right colour It does look great.

Yeah running costs for a relatively poor performance dont stack up for me. I was spneding 200 a month on fuel for a 15 mile round trip.

Dunno how you manage that. I spend no more than £160 a month and I can do up to 700 miles a month.

If I just drive back to work and back, 24 miles a day for a month (20 working days ish) then realistically I'm putting in no more than £110.

And thats on Tesco Momentum, so it could be done cheaper too!

Yeh think I got that wrong, haven't included my weekend miles too but was probably closer to £150 a month

On the FN2?

As above, I got it wrong. I get less out the FK2 but I don't have quams about the performance of that one.
