Type R and VTEC owners

Finally getting round to getting the car cleaned up.

£180 for a front bumper respray and £200 for a wheel refurb.

That and then I'll give it a paint correction when I get a nice weekend and it'll be spot on :)
 
Been looking at different cars over the past few months, Went to look at a civic type R FN2 on Sunday and put a deposit down

used to own a FN2 for a brief period when I was 20 insurance was mad, and couldn't afford to run it.

its now only £70 more to insure the civic over my swift so happy days. Should hopefully have it in a week if all goes well. just need to get my car back from being fixed.

Missed the FN2 terribly since I sold it and will be very glad to have one back in my life
 
Its a completely standard milano Pink :P

1 owner from new. full service history 2008 64k on the clock got no pictures but you all know what they look like
front end could do with a respray from the hail of stone chips.

I know there maybe better handling/quicker cars for the same price but FN2's just do something for me such a nice place to be imo
 
They are good cars and you get a lot for your money now. Any plans for it? Were you not tempted to spend a little extra and get a later model with a diff?

Not surprised by the front end, most Honda's have really thin paint. Keep on top of the red to keep it red.
 
Had to keep a sensible Head budget wise and keep the Mrs happy.

It will mainly be used for commuting too and from work everyday..

No major plans. just springs/exhaust/intake/wheels all in good time.

Yeah I will be keeping on top of the paint, I enjoy washing/polishing/waxing my car anyway so not a problem. Might be putting it in for a professional detail when I get it as the paint work Is rather swirly he obviously wasn't a fan of cleaning his own car. Luckily he did like to take it to honda and spend lots of money on services
 
Nice one. Absolutely love the FN2 for commuting, just the right balance.

Not a fan of standard ride quality though, if it bothers you then £140 on springs will sort it out

A good detail should get it back to a nice red.
 
I have been used to driving a swift sport which isnt exactly a comfortable commuting car and the road noise is horrendous

so the civic is like an armchair to me :D

hoping to get spring on rather quick and then get it book in at ABP for the fast road setup
 
I picked myself up a 57 plate fn2 with 75k miles on it 2 weeks ago for 5k. Excellent condition inside and out and with full service history. Very happy with it and the noise than the engine makes is :eek:
 
Back in an S2000...

Borrowing my mates for a bit as he hasn't used it for a few months. It's standard 51 plate on 16s (RE050) and in MCB with a hardtop.

It feels so familiar to be back in one. Yet so different. Honestly cannot believe how different a standard one feels to mine. I certainly understand some of the critiscm of lack of steering feedback now.

Only got it off him today so will see how it goes over the next few miles. Ride feels hard but due to tyres but also softer. Opposite of mine on poly bushes and konis with suspension braces but with F1AS2 which had a bit of give to help on broken roads. Turn in is nothing like mine was and definitely has a hint of understeer.

Might stick my 17s on it at a later date to compare.

Next steps for mine is get the engine out to see what happened. Got a kitchen to finish first though. On reflection certainly was setup well from the suspension side
 
Replacing my Novi1000 with a 1200 - Going to be around 16-17psi... stay tuned.

FN2 has more of a growl to it, EP3 is more of a howl, mainly due to different intake styles and VTEC point. End of the day it's nigh on the same engine so bang on the same intake and they'll sound very similar.
 
maybe the EP3 sounds better due to the FN2 having a bit more sound deadening in the cabin?

I didn't test drive the EP3 for that reason I imagine its a much better place to be when nailing it around the B roads which would make me enjoy it more but not so nice on the motorway.

But without driving it its all guess work
