Switching ISP today, as my friend switched to O2 as i suggested,

He rings up, get bombarded with offers, But manages to get his MAC in less the 30seconds of asking...

Anyhow. Orange are a diffrent story, with reviews and users complaints. they have to WAIT 5 Blooming Days for a MAC key,<< wtf seriously. (even says on there site.)

most people get given invalid keys, so my guess is there trying to hold on to you long as possible. but i have a plan, by LAW they have to give it to you, but im not going to wait 5 days, im going to ask for it on the spot, and i dont see why i should wait, its just a generated key with my details, and if they argue ile persue to the supivisor, still if he argues, then ile threaten with OfCom.... and that.

because ive been by them before, and its not going to happen again.

out of all the friends who have switched ISP, they have gotten theres straight away, so i dont see why they have to be diffrent.........

I know im probably ranting to much, but i needed to get the frustration out.

:) Feel better slighty, gotta see if i can handle the 18+ min wait... lol...

Oh yeah forgot to mention my friend is migrating from BT.

Its not by law but according to OFCOM guidelines and they have 5 days to give it to you so it doesnt have to be given on the spot.

When I was with orange, they always had good customer service. It always takes a while to get to the correct person though. I also got my MAC key on the spot when I disconnected without much fuss apart from the usual why am I leaving. Took 2 mins at most.

when i was with orange it took 2 months 5 phone calls and countless emails to get my mac key. good job all their customer service is india otherwise i would have probably gone round and beaten my mac key out of them
worst broadband company ever. fact.

Yeah, indeed, and then they bum you with offers you dont want, oh oh we will give your free 1 month, im like, i dont want a free month, but i would like to be free from your service so i can sign up with a better service that is cheap and offers better offers lol

pipex told me the same the other day, 5 days time it will arrive in the post
it ended up arriving via email the same day and activation has been aranged with o2 for next monday
