Bit of a vent, but also a request for knowledge in the area, as these days i just cannot be bothered with fixing things that Windows breaks that previously worked.

Gopro to USB struggles to read all the files, almost like a corrupt micro SD card. Other computer, (MSI Mortar B550 Win10), works good, can read, copy quickly. Problem B550 is an Asrock B550 gaming 4, with no more driver updates available on their site.
Uninstalled all USB drivers, restarted..
Different USB ports..
Different cables..

I'm a bit stumped outside of nuking or rolling back updates. Thing is i barely use this computer and it had a full Windows reinstall not long ago, so it's pretty clean.

The Asrock also seems to throw a post beep spaz if the monitor isn't on prior to turning on. Also the USB soundcard won't be auto detected either when that happens (i think that's what happened). Going to try a Bios update in a mo.

Though the other Mortar B550 decided to break Windows calculator and the sound on media player black.

Edit:
AMD direct drivers, bios, updated. No difference made sadly.
But i did fix my audio on MPB, the volume was down despite the bar showing as max, so changed deep in the settings, and fixed calculator with an "app reset".

Edit2:
Think it's the Gopro being odd. Seems to work intermittently with either computer. Will try a drive health test when my SD reader arrives as another SD card seems to read okay.

Usually I update chipset drivers from amd
Ones on the motherboard manufacturers sites
Are usually way older
That might help since usb should be included in
The chipset drivers
Though might be couple of ports on their own controller

Yeah good point chaps, forgot about that, cheers. Will try tomorrow and report back. To clarify, tried rear ports also. The bios flash didn't detect the USB stick first time round either, bizarre.
